Hello! I’m Nichole Angone, the owner and artist behind Strands of Aura — a creative braid studio where wellness, individuality, and color collide. With 23 years in the beauty industry, my journey has been one of artistry, resilience, reinvention, and learning to trust my own magic.

As a stylist and educator, I’m passionate about helping others express themselves through intricate braiding, vibrant color, and intentional artistry. Sobriety has strengthened my appreciation for the healing power of self-expression, and stepping into motherhood has expanded my purpose in the most beautiful way.

These days, I often have my tiny assistant — my daughter, Aurora — in the studio with me, watching her mommy create and connect. She is a daily reminder of why I do what I do: to build a life full of creativity, second chances, and colorful moments worth remembering.

Strands of Aura is more than a salon — it’s a community. Here, artistry is about more than a hairstyle. It’s about empowerment, connection, and discovering your unique energy. I love working with moms and daughters, festival-goers, and beauty professionals who are ready to unlock their creativity and embrace transformation.

Having worked and lived across five states — Illinois, Michigan, Arizona, Maine, and now Florida — I bring a diverse perspective and a wealth of experience to every appointment, event, and class. Whether you’re preparing for a festival, booking a braid party, learning to braid your child’s hair, or simply elevating your everyday look, I’m here to guide you with patience, intention, and heart.

Audrey is my event assistant and the extra set of hands that keeps everything

running smoothly. She helps with setup, organization, client flow, and making sure every braid experience feels effortless and fun.

I’m currently training her in braiding, and soon she’ll be joining me behind the chair at events to help create even more magic. For now, you’ll see her with me exclusively at parties and on-site bookings—bringing calm, positivity, and great energy to every service.
